Capital Metro Airport Bus Service – MetroAirport

During SXSW, Capital Metro will be enhancing frequency on the MetroAirport bus service, operating every 30 minutes throughout the day during the entire SXSW festival. MetroAirport will be the only route traveling along Congress Avenue, offering direct access to many downtown hotels.

Capital Metro – Downtown Detours/Open Stop Information

Due to various street closures and congestion in the downtown area, some Capital Metro downtown routes will be detoured along Guadalupe (southbound) or Lavaca (northbound) from March 7-16.

Capital Metro – MetroRail Extended Service

Capital Metro will operate a special event MetroRail schedule March 8 - March 15. Enjoy extended hours on Saturdays from 10am - 2am. On March 10 - 11 the train will run until 7pm, on March 12-13 until 12:30am and on Friday, March 14, you can ride the train until 1am. Capital Metro – Late Night Traveling Options

Staying out late? We’ve got option too! Capital Metro will be offering the usual Night Owl and E-Bus service during SXSW.

Capital Metro – MetroRapid Service
This year, riders will have one more traveling option with the new MetroRapid service. Route 801 has 43 stations located along a 21-mile route running north and south. Four northbound and southbound stops are conveniently located downtown along Guadalupe and Lavaca. Riders can enjoy frequent service, free onboard Wi-Fi and upgraded stations with real-time arrival information.

Capital Metro – Mobile Ticketing App
Easily buy Local, Premium or Commuter Day passes on-the-go during SXSW via the agency’s free mobile app. The app can also be used to plan trips and access real-time arrival information for MetroRapid and MetroRail.
