I came to SXSW in 2008 as a seasonal employee for the Interactive Festival, with no intention of staying past that one event. Fast forward to 2014 and I'm now one of the producers of the Interactive Festival and the producer of the newest event in the SXSW family, SXSW V2V.
Prior to landing at SXSW, I worked free lance as a second AD and then as a stylist in the commercial and film business, as stage and film actor, and as a voice actor / ADR director in the anime industry... basically anything for a paycheck. That last gig stretched from my first show, voicing the character of Priss in Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 in 1999 to my last show, directing Moonlight Mile in 2008. In between I voiced characters in over 100 shows, some that were very popular (Izumi Curtis in "Full Metal Alchemist" and Teresa in "Claymore") and some that were pretty obscure (Maria in the animated movie "Vexille - 2077 Isolation of Japan" and Claudia LaSalle/Narrator in "Super Dimension Fortress Macross").
