Expect plenty of mischief at SXSW Comedy this year - and not just because we'll be taking over three venues for dozens of shows during the festival. Say hello to The Mischief, two days of programming at The North Door (502 Brushy Street) presented by CleftClips, Funny or Die, and Team Coco.

Mandee Johnson and Joel Mandelkorn of CleftClips produce some of the most innovative comedy shows in Los Angeles - including The Super Serious Show and Hot Tub with Kurt and Kristen - and last summer, they brought their expertly curated showcase to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In addition to highlighting some of the country's most exciting up-and-coming performers, CleftClips' creative showcase formats make their stage shows fun for performers, and an absolute delight for all audiences - and this year, they've planned some really exciting, completely original events for SXSW, including fake panels, "beta" shows introducing experimental new formats, and more.

Who's part of The Mischief? Performers include Adam Cayton-Holland, Andres du Bouchet, Andy Peters, Aparna Nancherla, Brent Weinbach, Brett Gelman, Dan Van Kirk, Drennon Davis, Eddie Pepitone, Gabe Liedman, James Adomian, Jay Larson, Jenny Slate, Jerrod Carmichael, Johnny Pemberton, Jon Dore, Josh Fadem, Kyle Kinane, Kyle Mizono, Max and Ivan, Nick Turner, Reggie Watts, and Rory Scovel.

Here's what The Mischief has planned:

Sunday, March 10

Mischief Session: The Most Important Discussion Ever (2pm): SXSW is all about making connections and sharing ideas, so The Mischief's invited a few of their favorite characters to participate in a fully improvised, tongue-in-cheek panel, moderated by James Adomian.

Toasty: A Mischief Beta Show (4pm): Imagine you're at the best cocktail party ever, where all the guests are amazing comics - that's Toasty, a gathering that promises plenty of good-natured roasting.

The Bitter Buddha Blues (6:30pm): Join Eddie Pepitone (subject of acclaimed documentary The Bitter Buddha) as he channels his inner lounge singer and exercises his demons while entertaining the masses.

The Super Serious Show (9pm): LA's hottest show is back at SXSW with an all-star evening of multi-media hilarity.

Monday, March 11

Mischief Session: Tomorrow is Better Than Today (2pm): The problem solving continues with this panel presenting improvised answers to pressing questions, moderated by Gabe Liedman.

Not It: A Mischief Beta Show (3:30pm): This high-energy show promises "a chaotic, comedic version of hot potato" (complete with musical accompaniment) where standups take turns telling jokes at the ring of a bell.

It's Happening! A Post-Apocalyptic Gathering of Friends, Family & Strangers (5:30pm): If the world's going to end, let's at least spend our last night with a few of our favorite comics, like Apocalypse Planning Committee heads / show hosts Max & Ivan, in from the UK to help us celebrate in style.

Comedy Climax: Funny or Die and Team Coco present The Super Serious Show (8pm): Closing out The Mischief with standup and sketch from some of the festival's funniest performers, and video from Funny or Die, this installment of The Super Serious Show is certainly not to be missed.

Funny or Die and Team Coco's Comedy Climax After Party with The Mischief (10pm): The official wrap party for The Mischief, with plenty of comedy-related fun, music by Kitten, and even some Gears of War games to get down with.
