Sophia Bush + Dhani Jones Join Startup Alley Lineup!

We are excited to announce that actress Sophia Bush of One Tree Hill and Van Wilder and former NFL star Dhani Jones will speak at Startup Alley on the session The New ROI: Return on Influence — How Influencers should Leverage their Social Capital in the Startup World.

Adam Lilling, the co-founder of Launchpad LA and the managing director of Plus Capital, will moderate the conversation as these two influencers discuss their involvement with early stage companies.

Urban Bingo lets you compete against friends, customers or fellow event attendees to complete a 4x4 game board centered around a theme, place or event—like SXSW Interactive! Users take and upload a photo corresponding to the item on each tile (say, a shot of the SXSW Interactive Closing Party. Fill a row, column or diagonal within the given game time limit for a chance to win VIP tickets, discounts, merchandise, and other prizes.

Come to VICELAND (401 E. Cesar Chavez) on March 11 at 7pm to hear the unreleased soundtrack to the much-anticipated film from NBC Universal, Oblivion, starring Tom Cruise.

The soundtrack will feature new music from a number of great artists, including M83. This listening party is part of an amazing selection of programming and events at VICELAND called the 'Oblivion Experience’.

This Ain't No Mouse Music - SXSW 2013 Accepted Film

Chris Strachwitz is a detective of deep American music, music that’s the antithesis of the corporate “mouse music” dominating pop culture. Since 1960, he has been the guiding force behind legendary Arhoolie Records, bringing Cajun music out of Louisiana, Tex-Mex out of Texas, blues out of the country – and into the living rooms of Middle America. American music has never been the same. Born a German count, Strachwitz fled his homeland after WWII at 16. Here, he discovered, and shared, a musical landscape that most Americans missed.
