SXSW workshops are a way to get down to the nitty gritty of film with leading industry figures - witness first hand how they work and learning to apply their knowledge to your own working methods. With subjects ranging from acting skills to constructing the perfect trailer, the workshops are a great way to absorb some of the essential skills you need to move ahead with your career.
SXSW Film Panels gather together groups of industry experts for a lively moderated discussion, culminating in an impassioned Q&A. Subjects can be anything from specific films, to new technologies, to festival how-tos. They're a great way to absorb a wide range of knowledge, opinions and issues, with ample opportunity for audience participation.
The panel-like Mini-Meetings are detailed, tightly focussed sessions dealing with specific issues within the industry, and could involve anything from Legal Issues to distribution models to connecting with your audience.

Mentor sessions consist of short, sharp, one-on-one encounters with select panelists across a huge range of disciplines. Expect to get quick answers to those burning questions you've been sitting on for so long.
