Holland Racing’s Tour of Austin at the Circuit of the Americas

Technology and cycling have a long history together, from the materials science of carbon fiber to GPS-enabled data tracking devices and much more. As an avid cyclist and recreational racer, I recently borrowed a GoPro camera from the Pro Media Department here at SXSW to geek out and record a few bicycle races in Austin. Therefore, I was particularly excited to see a recent Makerbot tweet about the 400+ GoPro mods on Thingiverse. There’s such a diverse array of creative mounts and solutions available, it’s so easy now to film any adventure that comes your way.

The above examples of practical 3D printing solutions represent just one facet of the DIY innovation you can find at the 2014 edition of SXSW Create, our maker and hacker event that occurs Friday, March 7 through Sunday, March 9 during the 2014 SXSW Interactive Festival.

Have a passion for the 3D printing revolution? Want to showcase what you are doing in the maker, hacker and DIY space? Contact us for details on how you can participate in this very special exhibition.
