Stellar Proposals for SXSW Gaming in the 2014 PanelPicker

Written by Matthew Crump | September 3, 2013

Vote for your favorite gaming-related panels in the SXSW PanelPicker

Each year at SXSW Gaming, we get excited about all the fantastic proposals submitted through the PanelPicker.  We feel a great measure of anticipation, during the selection process, while waiting to see which proposals rise to the top.

This year, we see the desire for brilliant new ideas, talented developers, creators, and designers reflected in many of the entries.

What are the best ways for new developers to get started? What tools should they use? How hard is it to develop games and apps for the next generation of console systems? Is mobile game development still an uncharted territory?  You can find hints among a plethora of wonderful submissions in the 2014 SXSW PanelPicker.

Sessions and workshops like Unity for All: Intro to Unity 4, or The Narrative Debate in game Design, among many others, offer tools, tips and insight to budding developers.

If a retro, nostalgic piece of video gaming history is more your fare, then check out the panel on Street Fighter, Hadouken! Street Fighter Takes on Pop Culture.

With so many choices, we know you will discover some gem that gets you as pumped as we are for the 2014 season!

Remember, public voting for the 2014 SXSW PanelPicker closes at the day on Friday, September 6. To participate, visit http://panelpicker.sxsw.com/, select “SXSW Interactive 2014” in Conference and search under “Gaming and Game Development” under theme.  To be registered to vote on your favorite proposals, all you have to do is sign up for a SXSW Panel Picker Account.

This is the final lap for the 2014 SXSW PanelPicker! Help us finish strong!
