The author of three #1 New York Times Best Sellers (Rising Strong, Daring Greatly and The Gifts of Imperfection), Dr. Brené Brown joins the SXSW Interactive Keynote lineup. She will speak on Saturday, March 12 at 2:00 pm.
In addition to her work as a researcher and teacher, Brown is the Founder and CEO of COURAGEworks — an ed tech startup that offers courses based on her research on vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Her 2010 TEDx Houston talk, "The Power of Vulnerability," is one of the top five most viewed TED talks in the world with over 25 million viewers.
Brown’s participation highlights the ongoing theme of empowerment through education at the SXSW Interactive Festival. This theme also aligns with the message of our two other confirmed Keynote speakers for 2016: Casey Gerald of MBA’s Across America (Friday, March 11) and Andy Puddicombe of Headspace (Tuesday, March 15).
In addition to these captivating Keynote sessions, industry thought leaders ranging from Iris Bohent to Maria Konnikova to Gary Vaynerchuk are part of the Featured Speaker section of programming.
Keynote speakers for Sunday, March 13 and Monday, March 14 will be announced via the SXSW website soon, so stay tuned.
