The second annual Social Revolución roars back to life at SXSW Interactive 2013 to celebrate online Latinos influencing cultural shifts and trends. Be sure to visit Ballet Austin (501 West 3rd Street) on Tuesday, March 12, when the Social Revolución will host the Latino Lounge, Revolucionario Awards, and Party.

The online community is invited to visit Social Revolución to nominate Latinos using social media as a platform to create change and inspire audiences into action. A highly influential group of industry leaders has been recruited to serve as judges for the Revolucionario Awards in three categories: The Innovator, The Mobilizer, and The New Americano. Nominees will be recognized at the Latino Lounge portion of the event, and the Revolucionario Awards ceremony will celebrate two winners from each of the three categories. One nominee that embodies all three categories will be chosen as the Leader of the Social Revolución. There were more than 140 nominees in 2012, and a larger group is expected this year. Hurry! The deadline for nominations is TONIGHT, February 25 at 11:59 pm.

Social Revolución winners will also be honored as part of the SXSW Interactive Awards ceremony on Tuesday evening, March 12 at Austin Hilton Downtown. The Social Revolución is the official Latino event at the 2013 SXSW Interactive Festival.
