SXSW Gaming Expo - GEEK Stage Announcement

Photo Credit Merrick Ales While there's many exciting things in store for SXSW Gaming next year, none will be as diverse as the SXSW GEEK Stage, encompassing the best of the geek culture!

The first day sees sessions from the likes of Machinima, Oculus Rift and Gearbox Software. The second day brings you companies such as Mojang, Geek & Sundry, and Telltale Games. The third day tops it off with programming from Marvel, Trion World Network, and our very own cosplay competition in conjunction with Evil Pastry Studios. Other sessions throughout the 3 days include ScrewAttack, NASA, Freddie Wong, Corridor Digital, Square Enix, comiXology, and Annoying Orange. This all opens with a fabulous band dedicated to the sounds of gaming, Austin's very own Descendants of Erdrick! There is more great programming in the works - stay tuned in the New Year for the final schedule.

More Extended Workshops Added for SXSW Interactive 2013!

We recently announced the bulk of SXSW Interactive's all new extended workshops. Whether you want to learn programming, responsive design, game development, or the basics of the startup world, there is a workshop for you! Other topics covered in these sessions range from legal and privacy issues to user experience to social media marketing. These workshops last either two and a half, four, or eight hours and offer valuable, in-depth takeaways. All Interactive workshops are included in the price of an Interactive, Gold, or Platinum badge; there is no extra cost to attend these sessions. You will, however, need to sign-up in advance.
