It's hard to think of two more indelible influences on modern hip hop and funk than Bootsy Collins and Chuck D (or two cooler human beings, I mean, seriously). Just being in the same room as both of them was electric, and you could see a genuine camaraderie and mutual respect between the two as they conversed.
Lucky for you, we had the cameras rolling, and caught a couple snippets of the sprawling conversation. Hear Bootsy recall playing for James Brown and the initial chaos and inception of Parliament Funkadelic upon meeting George Clinton. So awesome.
