Even though Bajofondo has been a pioneer in what has been known all over the world as “electronica tango”, the group doesn’t consider that this definition is appropriate for their music. It’s been already five years since Gustavo Santaolalla conceived this project along with Juan Campodónico, with the idea of bringing together a collective of Argentine and Uruguayan artists dedicated to creating “contemporary music of the Rio de la Plata".

Born in a small Sichuanese city, Baishui is a composer and self-taught musician who plays guitar, piano and many traditional Chinese instruments. His earliest original compositions and performances were influenced by European neo-folk and dark ambient strains, but has expanded widely his musical canvas since.
Originally formed in Austin, TX in winter 2005 by Troupe Gammage (vocals/keyboard), Nick Hurt (guitar/vocals), and Jake Stewart (drums), the band now known as SPEAK was cemented with the addition of Joey Delahoussaye (bass/vocals) in 2008.

Audacity spent three years on relentless touring, working up and scrapping (except for a few rare 7"s) what could have been an album all its own and even serving as backing band for both glam-garage savant King Tuff and San Pedro punk godfather Todd Congelliere, who stepped away from his bands Toys That Kill and Underground Railroad to Candyland to play solo songs in the adorably named Toddacity. By May 2011, however, Audacity felt they were ready, and began recording what would become Mellow Cruisers with L.A. producer Rob Barbato (Soft Pack, Cold Showers).

Nick Scalise and Gregory Shanahan are in Bestfriends. The young pair has big plans to push the post-disco envelope as far as humanly possible. The Chicago-based duo composed all the music and played all the instruments on their self-titled EP, released in early 2012. They also produced, mixed and mastered the sixsong album and directed videos for two of the songs. First meeting in preschool, the multi-instrumentalists met up years later to join internationally touring bands and shared the stage with several of contemporary music's most popular acts.
