Virtual reality and augmented reality technologies are finding new ways to enhance our ability to perceive the world that surrounds us, and in many instances they are redefining how we experience the world.

At SXSW, the most creative minds and innovative technologies meet to showcase the future of how the world will function. And the use of virtual reality is by no means something “new” for us to expect. In fact, it’s already here and thriving at SXSW. Now, we’re looking to incorporate augmented reality, along with other reality defining technologies, at the 2016 SXSW Music, Film, and Interactive Festivals.

2016 Information

When

Programming for this all-new VR/AR Track will run Wednesday, March 16 through Friday, March 18

These dates will coincide with the new dates for SXSW Gaming which occurs Thursday, March 17 through March 19. The overlap emphasizes the strong connection and carryover between these two verticals.

You must have a 2016 SXSW Music, Film, Interactive, Gold, or Platinum badge to attend VR/AR Track programming. Register by January 15 to save off the walkup rate.
