The SXSW Music Conference is pleased to announce Eric Burdon as a featured speaker for the 2013 event. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Burdon is one of the most prolific and distinctive voices in rock and roll. Burdon has released nearly 50 records in 50 years, as front man of The Animals and WAR and as a solo act. He comes to SXSW to promote the release of his new album Til Your River Runs Dry.
In his 2012 SXSW keynote, Bruce Springsteen paid tribute to Eric Burdon as a key influence, both musically and lyrically. Later that evening, Burdon joined the E Street Band onstage to deliver a memorable version of "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place." Please join us this year for a special interview conducted by David Fricke of Rolling Stone, on Thursday, March 14.
The SXSW Interview with Eric Burdon is open to all SXSW Music and Platinum registrants. Burdon will also perform a showcase on Friday, March 15. Don't miss this unique session.
