What happens at the nighttime shows?

Generally a half-dozen acts play in each venue, starting at the top of each hour from 8 p.m. – 2 a.m. What that means is that at any point in time, there are more than 80 bands playing at the same time. Talk about options. Purchase a badge, and you can walk from club to club and take in music from acts from all over the musical spectrum, without being mired in one thing. As compared to other events, the low registration price of the the SXSW Music and Media Conference makes for an extraordinary value.
