Apply to Showcase

The deadline for applying to showcase has passed. Thank you to the artists that applied and to Sonicbids. All artists will be notified of status by January 30, 2009.

Submit an online application from our website by clicking the "Apply To Showcase" link on this page OR submit your application though Sonicbids. It's your choice; the deadlines (October 24, 2008 for international artists, November 7, 2008 for artists in the USA) and fee ($25 for early submissions, $35 for applications submitted after September 26, 2008) are the same.

If you apply through the SXSW website you will need a credit card to pay your submission fee. SXSW accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diner's Club. Once your application is submitted, your Primary Contact will be sent a confirmation email with instructions on how to upload MP3s, a biography, an artist photograph, and a press kit.

To apply online via Sonicbids, log in to your Sonicbids account (or create one – you'll receive a 3 month free trial when you apply for SXSW) and choose SXSW in the "Top Opportunities" listing. We'll use your Sonicbids Electronic Press Kit to listen to your music and review your press materials. You won't need to upload any additional materials.

To apply via Sonicbids:

Supersonic membership is the choice for professional artists who want to put their best face forward. In addition to more storage space and the best tools for presenting yourself, Supersonic members are eligible to be featured in some very cool Sonicbids promotional campaigns. The total package make a real difference: In fact, according to gig statistics from Sonicbids, Supersonic bands book 3 times as many gigs as standard-level members.
