The SXSW® Music and Media Conference is back for its 27th year. Our reputation as the biggest and most anticipated convergence of all things music is being kept alive by our continued effort to offer compelling daytime programming and stellar nighttime showcases.

The increasing prevalence of band/brand connections is a hotter topic than ever as artists are finding significant revenue streams in brand partnerships. But, as moderator Mike Boris (Jaded Melody) discusses here, these partnerships can go far beyond licensing your music for commercials and become a mutually-beneficial portion of an artist's livelihood (and a brand's cool-factor). Check out the video recap of the discussion featuring Taylor Hanson (Hanson), Marni Wandner (Sneak Attack Media), Joel Beckerman (Man Made Music) and Carianne Marshall (Songs Music Publishing).

Yesterday The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced their 2013 inductees. Rush, Heart, Randy Newman, Public Enemy, Donna Summer and Albert King will all be joining the class of 2013 with Summer and King being inducted posthumously. Public Enemy enters as the fourth ever hip-hop act to be inducted. All acts join Quincy Jones and Lou Adler, each of whom will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award for non-performers, as inductees on April 18th, 2013 at the Nokia Theater and set to broadcast on HBO, May 18th.
