The time to register for SXSW 2013 and book your hotel room is here! The list of hotels and rates is online. So how will you choose a place to rest your head?

Some things to keep in mind when you think about hotels -

You’ll see downtown hotels at the top of our online list because it is in order by distance from the 4th & Neches entrance of the Austin Convention Center. But downtown is not the only place to stay for SXSW. Thousands of registrants save money by staying at one of our budget-friendly hotels on the Hotel Shuttle Route and purchasing a shuttle pass for the week. With shuttles running from early morning to late at night, the Hotel Shuttle route hotels are a big hit with attendees watching their wallets.

Look for the signs! A shuttle icon indicates if a hotel is on the Hotel Shuttle Route and a green leaf icon lets you know that we have a sustainable practices document from that hotel and you may view it on our website.

The SXSW hotel availability page allows you to filter your list by options like “Deluxe”, “Budget Friendly” and “Smoking Rooms available", as well as re-order your list of hotels by price or alphabetically.

Before making your reservation check for minimum stay requirements at your preferred properties. Most downtown hotels have a 3-night minimum stay and some have a 4-night minimum stay for suites.

Check out our FAQs and How to Book page for more info and send any additional questions to housing@sxsw.com. SXSW housing looks forward to booking your hotel room very soon!
