Theme Time With SXSW Interactive Programming

marysledd_panelcrowd3.jpgWith more than 400 panels, solo presentations, Core Conversations, and book readings planned for SXSW Interactive 2010, we decided it might be a good idea to divide up the daytime programming into loosely-defined but definitely helpful themes. Ideally, this will help registrants and attendees better plan their March 12-16 itineraries, and better navigate the Austin Convention Center.

We have listed our themes below, along with an example of what each will offer. Please e-mail the Interactive team with any questions. Also, stay tuned to this site on Tuesday, Dec. 1, when the next batch of confirmed programming will be announced.

Business: From Right-to-Left: Entrepreneurship & the Middle East (Sacha Tueni, Vodafone International)

Convergence: Interactive Documentaries: A Multidimensional Narrative (Victoria Ha, Stitch Media Inc)

Design and Development: Is WordPress Killing Web Design? (Dan Oliver, .net magazine)

Greater Good: Sick Clicks: The Evolution of Health Online (Caley Van Cleave, FeelGoodNow.com)

New, New Thing: Maps, Books, Spimes, Paper: Post-Digital Media Design (Chris Heathcote, meta loca)

Book Readings: The Art of Eating In (Cathy Erway, Not Eating Out in New York)

Screenburn: Gaming the Crowd: Turning Work Into Play (Andy Baio, Kickstarter)
