The South by Southwest Film Conference and Festival is proud to announce that the winning short films featured at the festival will qualify for consideration in the Short Films category of the Annual Academy Awards® without the standard theatrical run, provided the film otherwise complies with the Academy Rules. WARNING - FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12TH is the FINAL deadline to submit a film for the 2009 SXSW Film Festival. Don't miss out on the life changing opportunity to be a part of the SXSW experience, the preeminent destination for creative discovery! Filmmakers are invited to submit their new projects ASAP. SXSW considers several different categories of filmmaking: Narrative, Documentary, Experimental, Music Video and Shorts. REMINDER - Submissions can only be entered via the official SXSW Website.
