Michael Brune, Amber Valletta and M. Sanjayan to Join SXSW Eco's 2013 Roster

SXSW Eco is busy confirming more and more sustainable innovators for our 2013 event (October 7-9 | Austin, TX). Just-announced speakers include:

Michael Brune, Executive Director of The Sierra Club and author of Coming Clean: Breaking America’s Addiction to Oil and Coal. Under Michael's leadership The Sierra Club has grown to over 2 million members and launched Beyond Coal, widely considered one of the most effective environmental campaigns ever. Michael will be featured in SXSW Eco's Policy Action Series presented by Bloomberg BNA.

Amber Valletta, Supermodel, Humanitarian, and Entrepreneur. Amber is currently working on launching sustainable fashion and lifestyle brand Master and Muse. She will join fashion and business experts in a session titled "Sustainability: The Future of Fashion," which will explore the latest initiatives and advancements in responsible fashion.

M. Sanjayan, lead scientist for The Nature Conservancy and a leading ecologist, writer and Emmy-nominated news contributor. M. will speak to the failures of the environmental movement and how the business community, youth and rural poor are three essential allies needed to spur the movement forward to success.
