Emma Louise released her debut album, Vs Head Vs Heart, in the US yesterday. According to The Brag, the Australian singer-songwriter “has crafted a commendable debut album layered to perfection and driven by her marvellous voice.” A follow up to her critically acclaimed 2011 EP, Full Hearts & Empty Rooms, the album includes intimate tracks like the stand out “17 Hours.”
The album was recorded in the Brisbane studio of Matt Redlich, who has worked with other Australian bands including Hungry Kids of Hungary. Emma’s unique sound has been compared to the likes of fellow artists Florence Welch and Imogen Heap.
