Hills Like Elephants- "Invisible Ink": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

He has a sound that is truly all his own, and it has led him to be compared by others with a wide selection of top-tier artists including Outkast and Eminem. Currently performing on his own 'We Are Everything' Tour, this eccentric entertainer will come back to the U.S. fresh off a Japan/Austrailia run to perform at SXSW 2013.

Tearing up the lost highway from Oxford, Mississippi's Sweet Tea Studios comes the I Can't Wait EP, the sophomore offering from Memphis’s folk pop trio, Star & Micey. Produced by Dennis Herring (Elvis Costello, Counting Crows, Buddy Guy) and due for release late summer through the legendary Ardent Music label, the new EP captures the band's raw live spirit while carefully preserving the honesty of a well crafted work of art. The Mornings are Tokyo based, 4 piece Avant-hardcore band. Formed in 2003 by university colleagues, their musical style has shifted from their early years as Math Rock, Post Hardcore, Dub Influence, to more no/new wave, minimal and experimental approach. Their current sound can be characterized as blend of meticulous discordant sound ensemble of complex guitar, harsh rave synth, hip-hop like vocals and irregular time measure rhythm section, while always maintaining strong pop sensibility. Vockah Redu- "Fantahsea": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

Although the Magnolia Housing Projects have long been demolished, a light post still stands at the corner where youth like Vockah Redu (Javocca Davis) gathered to rap and create beats. The light post marks one of the birthplaces of Bounce music, a genre of rap specific to New Orleans that has invigorated crowds throughout the South. Vockah Redu and the Cru animate the stage with their dynamic revival of dance, music, and art from the street corner to the club.

WALL- "Magazine": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

WALL is a London-based singer, songwriter and producer. Her minimal pop music is causing taste-makers to fawn over the intimacy of the tracks. After releasing the haunting 'No Secrets' on Soundcloud the team at Black Cab Sessions stepped in to get involved. They quickly signed WALL for her debut single and as the first act on their newly born label, BCS Records. They have also filmed two exclusive Black Cab videos, a proper video for ‘Magazine’, and released her debut single on 7" and digitally.
