Bleeding Rainbow - "Drift": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

Nevermind the constant threat of a cease and desist letter, when Carrie Brownstein tells you that your band name is weak, you change it. But it isn’t as simple as a name change for Philadelphia’s minimal noise pop duo Reading Rainbow, significant line up additions facilitated the adoption of a new moniker. So…drum roll please…as we reintroduce Philadelphia’s Bleeding Rainbow, now a full-blown, Brownstein-approved, rock quartet. The name better represents the band’s evolving sound and is all around more badass and trippy as sh*t.

Con un sonido peculiar, entre Pop retro y Rock Sintetizado, editan su primer disco a nivel nacional en 2009 bajo el sello de la revista Indie-Rocks!. The Mornings are Tokyo based, 4 piece Avant-hardcore band. Formed in 2003 by university colleagues, their musical style has shifted from their early years as Math Rock, Post Hardcore, Dub Influence, to more no/new wave, minimal and experimental approach. Their current sound can be characterized as blend of meticulous discordant sound ensemble of complex guitar, harsh rave synth, hip-hop like vocals and irregular time measure rhythm section, while always maintaining strong pop sensibility. Crafting dreamy synthpop since 2010, Brothertiger, AKA John Jagos, aims to capture the beauty and awe of life in his music. He released his first full-length, Golden Years, with great success on Mush Records in 2012, and previously released 2 EPs showcasing his work. Having relocated to Brooklyn, John is currently working on his next full length which he plans to release in 2013.
