Family - "Day Vision": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

A new leader of the Brooklyn pack, FAMILY combines lush classic rock flavor with modern progressive heaviness on its astonishing debut album, Portrait.

The balance Family strikes is one perfected by precious few bands. To bring the vibes of our forefathers -- the finesse, the hooks, the grooves of say, Led Zeppelin -- into the modern day metal underground; to take a classic rock sense of musicality and use it to make something that's fiercely original, crushingly heavy and not "retro" at all... this is a fine line indeed, a delicate tension that is rarely achieved.

Ghost to Falco - "Born To Win": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

Ghost to Falco is essentially the brain child of Portland, OR resident, Eric Crespo. Beginning in late 2001 as a solo project incorporating swirls of electric guitar loops, antique analog synthesizer sounds, and field recordings, he first used the moniker as a way to book shows that might score him a floor to sleep on while moving cross-country from North Carolina.

The Tom Fun Orchestra - "Throw Me To The Rats": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

With outrageously immodest beginnings, The Tom Fun Orchestra sauntered into the Canadian music scene the way an Italian funeral saunters through a mountain village. That is, with many loud instruments, casks of wine and complete irreverence for everything happening around them. A year into the band's life, they travelled the country with eighteen of their friends in a school bus. And so it began.

The Enemy - "Gimme the Sign": SXSW 2013 Showcasing Artist

If you could bottle the spirit of THE ENEMY and flog it Coventry, UK might just have an export to rival their proud motor industry heritage.

Frontman Tom Clarke, bassist Andy Hopkins and drummer Liam Watts are back with a ferocious, guitar-heavy and typically anthemic third album. The band, with Joby J Ford from The Bronx on producing duties, have been in LA rediscovering the DNA that helped a young three-piece from the West Midlands explode into the charts in 2006.
