The umbrella Sounds From Spain was created with the purpose of supporting and fostering Spanish music internationally. Sounds From Spain has become crucial for Spanish music companies aiming to export and seeking a wider presence in international markets. Sounds from Spain is sponsored by public and private institutions, and represents the Spanish music industry including the most important nationwide professional associations.
On this occasion the SXSW Sounds from Spain pavilion will be set up by the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX – Ministry of Economy), with the support of the Spanish Artists´ and Performers´ Rights Society (AIE), the Spanish Institute for the Performing Arts and Music – Ministry of Culture (INAEM), and Fundación Autor of the Spanish Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers (SGAE), along with the collaboration of the Spanish Artist Managers and Concert Promoters Association (ARTE), the Spanish Association of Phonographic Companies (PROMUSICAE), the Spanish Association of Music Publishers (AEDEM) and the Spanish Association of Independent Record Labels (UFI).
