Potential investors get the information they need to invest wisely and avoid fraud, presented in an easy to understand format. Intermediaries such as broker-dealers and crowdfunding portals get protection from liability and meet their legal obligations for investor protection.
Our trained researchers work with companies seeking investment and relevant third parties to create robust transparency, allowing potential investors insight into the company and its operations. One of the ways we do this is by making "due diligence" investigations on the companies seeking funding. Due diligence is the technical term for kicking the tires before you make an investment. Making sure that the company exists, that the managers are who they say they are and that they are operating their business the way they say they are. We don’t say whether a company is a great investment; that’s for the investors to decide, but our checks do provide the confidence of knowing that a business has been thoroughly vetted and is indeed legitimate. Early stage investing can be very risky.
