Posse.com is the first site to help you find your friends’ favorite places. If you search for ‘great coffee near me’, we’ll show you the top recommendations of your friends, friends of friends and so on. We’ll show why the place is great, how you’re connected to the person who made the recommendation, and how to get there.
Users create their ‘ultimate street’, filling it with their favorite merchants from around the globe. Posse users recommend an average of seven merchants each – making social search possible.
The game is inspired by a combination of female targeted social media sites such as Pinterest and The Sims.
When a Posse user nominates a favorite place, we engage with that merchant. We allow them to communicate and send gifts to the customers. Each merchant gets their own dashboard; they can use this as a social CRM management tool for monitoring and encouraging word-of-mouth promotion and attracting new customers through friends’ recommendations.
Posse is quickly gaining traction in Australia where it’s used by 28,000 urban, sophisticated people / 15,000 merchants and launches in the US at SXSW.
