Watch 2016 SXSW Selections: Narrative Shorts

Hey y’all! SXSW Senior Film Programmer Claudette Godfrey here.

To give you a taste of what’s to come at SXSW 2017, we’re taking a look back at some of the fantastic films from our 2016 event that are now available to watch online.

A diverse collection of films found a home in our 2016 SXSW Narrative Shorts program. From the filmmakers, their backgrounds, their stories, and their styles; they’re all so different. These shorts truly stand out by telling new stories or telling familiar stories from a new perspective or with a fresh voice.

The following shorts were originally screened as part of SXSW 2016 Narrative Shorts Competition. Now, some of them are available for you to watch below. Check out more great short films from 2016 and past editions of the event on our SXSW Film Festival Vimeo Channel. Happy watching!
