Watch the SXSW Interview with DEVO’s Mark Mothersbaugh

2016 SXSW Music Speaker Mark Mothersbaugh of the rock band DEVO sat down with Adam Lerner, Director of the Museum Of Contemporary Art Denver, to examine his career in music and visual art.

The DEVO frontman is famously known for scoring over 150 TV shows and film, working alongside the likes of Wes Anderson. In his SXSW Interview, Mothersbaugh and Lerner discussed Mothersbaugh’s visual art exhibition, Myopia, and the influence he found in his search beyond the rational mind. The collection spans over 30 years and includes drawings, film, sculpture, paintings, and music. The exhibition will be at Museum of Contemporary Art – Cleveland/Akron Museum from this Friday, May 27 – August 28, and it was recently announced that Mothersbaugh, an Akron native, will receive the key to the city from Mayor Dan Horrigan this Saturday.
