SXSW 2017 Registration Deadline Extended Through Monday, October 24

We're flying through October, which means our second registration deadline for the 2017 SXSW Conference & Festivals (March 10-19) is just around the corner. Register to attend by Monday, October 24 at 11:59pm PT to save $400 off the walk-up rate, and book your hotel through SXSW Housing & Travel for the best availability. What's New for 2017

Interactive, Film and Music badges will now include expanded access to more of the SXSW Conference & Festivals. These improvements will offer industry professionals more opportunities to network and discover than ever before. Attendees will still receive primary entry to programming associated with their badge ­type, but can now enjoy secondary access to most other SXSW events.

The 2017 SXSW Conference includes 24 programming tracks divided amongst Interactive, Film, Music, and Convergence, presented in a variety of session formats. SXSW 2017 Announced Programming

Today, we announced our third wave of Keynotes and Featured Speakers, plus 750 sessions for the 2017 event.

Conference Keynotes include filmmaker Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Godzilla, and Monsters); Adam Grant, author of Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World; Creative Director and L.A. Anchor for Beats 1, Zane Lowe; and Mt. Everest photographer Cory Richards. They join previously announced Keynotes Lee Daniels, Jennifer Doudna, and Jill Soloway. Keynote presentations spotlight some of the industry’s most inspired thinkers and diverse visionaries. The SXSW Conference will include 13 total Keynote speakers announced throughout the season. Three rounds of Featured Speakers have been announced, representing a blend of Interactive, Film, and Music affiliated Conference Tracks. Our latest Featured Speakers include global design icon Marc Jacobs along with business and tech influencers Whitney Wolfe and Padmasree Warrior, covering subjects that range from user privacy to next-generation entertainment options. Featured Sessions present a snapshot of the most transformative ideas shaping our future. Elephant on Madison Avenue on the Workplace Track is one of our newly added sessions. In a follow up to the SXSW 2016 Elephant in the Valley Keynote, the Elephant on Madison Avenue Featured Session will discuss sexual harassment and gender bias in the advertising industry and how it compares to tech. Speakers include Michele Madansky, (Michele Madansky Consulting), Lisen Stromberg (PrismWork), and Leslie Wingo (SandersWingo). Explore 2017 Featured Sessions »

750+ Sessions are now live on the SXSW Online Schedule. SXSW PanelPicker helps shape the majority of the 2017 SXSW Conference programming, and also helps us identify industry trends based on each season’s entries. These trends include innovation in the transportation space, the rise of artificial intelligence, more emphasis on innovation within healthcare and an increase in creative industry inclusion. October 21 also marks the final Artist Application deadline. The late Film Submission deadline is also just around the corner on October 20 – review these submission tips and learn more about our new Virtual Cinema now accepting Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality projects.
