SXSW & SXSW EDU CREDENTIAL TRANSFER POLICY
a. One (1) Free Transfer. The following SXSW Credentials are eligible for one (1) free transfer: Platinum Badge, Innovation Badge, Film & TV Badge, Music Badge, and SXSW EDU Badge (“Transferable Badge(s)”). This transfer may be made via the SXSW cart through a free badge transfer transaction. Upon transfer, the Participant name on the Transferable Badge will be changed.
b. Purchase Window Restriction. Transfers will not be permitted within forty-eight (48) hours of the initial purchase. For Transferable Badges purchased within twelve (12) days of the Event, transfers will be permitted twenty-four (24) hours after the initial purchase. Exceptions to this policy will be reviewed by SXSW on a case-by-case basis and made in the sole discretion of SXSW upon request to reg@sxsw.com.
c. No Transfers or Changes After Issuance. Credentials, including Transferable Badges, may not be transferred and name changes will not be made after Credentials have been issued.
d. Wristband Transfer Policy. Notwithstanding the provisions above, Wristbands are non-transferable, unless purchased as an “add-on” to a Transferable Badge. If a wristband was purchased as an “add-on” to a Transferable Badge, the wristband must be transferred with the Transferable Badge.
e. Credentials Purchased Using Coupons. Credentials purchased with a discount code are non-transferable, exceptions to this rule may be made in the sole discretion of SXSW upon request to reg@sxsw.com.
f. Badge Upgrades. If a transferee wishes to upgrade their Transferable Badge, please contact SXSW at reg@sxsw.com.
