The touring schedules for many SXSW 2014 alumni artists are heating up rather quickly. As promised, we’re continuing to highlight a few of the top acts hitting the road every month this summer. Who’s coming to your town?
R&B singer Kelis kicked off the American leg of a tour in support of her recent album, Food, earlier this week. She’ll be making her way to Europe by the end of the month to perform as part of the Glastonbury Festival.
Baltimore indie duo Wye Oak wraps up the European leg of a tour supporting their newly released album Shriek, which was a stunningly good departure from their earlier work.
Irish musician Hozier is also journeying through Europe this month with several dates in the UK. He just released a new EP, titled From Eden, this past April.
British multi-instrumentalist and DJ Quantic brings his live band to the States this month to perform the fresh Latin/funk fusion sounds from his upcoming album, Magnetica. After recently witnessing their show in London, I can safely say that it’s currently one of the best live experiences on the planet.
We’ll be back next month with more SXSW 2014 artist tour highlights.
