SXsports runs March 11-13, 2016

SXSW introduced SXsports® in 2014 as a Convergence Track of the annual event. The three-day, sport-focused programming is open to all SXSW Film and SXSW Interactive registrants, and features sessions, film screenings and more.

Championing a broader perspective on the world of sports unique to SXSW, SXsports explores cultural impact and the human experience, tackles the future of sport in all its forms, and embraces technology and innovation. Rooted in one of the most influential cultural events in the world, SXsports offers the sports industry singular access to creative leaders, early adopters and die-hard fans from across the sports, entertainment and technology industries.

2016 programming highlights include an opening featured session with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, New York Giants' Odell Beckham Jr., UFC star Ronda Rousey, FOX Sports' Katie Nolan, ESPN's Rachel Nichols, Olympians Sanya Richards-Ross and Ibtihaj Muhammad, LPGA star Anna Rawson and thirteen film screenings, including Richard Linklater’s film Everybody Wants Some plus so much more. 2016 Information


SXsports will run Friday, March 11 – Sunday, March 13, 2016.


SXsports will take place in Austin, Texas. Most programming occurs at the Four Seasons Hotel with some Featured Sessions taking place at the Austin Convention Center. Film screenings will take place at various official SXSW Film venues.


You must have a 2016 SXSW Film, Interactive, Gold, or Platinum badge to attend SXsports programming and events. Register today!
