SXSWfm to Host a HAAM Benefit Day Showcase

Written by Rory Burbeck | August 14, 2013

SXSWfm is very excited to announce that it will be presenting an outdoor concert as part of HAAM Benefit Day on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at Wooldridge Square Park in Downtown Austin. The concert will be free and open to the public, and will run from 6:00pm to 9:30pm that night.

The lineup will feature three amazing bands, all of which are local here in Austin and former SXSW Showcasing Artists. The evening will begin with the Peterson Brothers Band, followed by Frank Smith, and The Rocketboys will be closing out the event.

HAAM, or the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, is an Austin-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide access to affordable health care for Austin’s low income, uninsured working musicians, with a focus on prevention and wellness.

The nonprofit's annual HAAM Benefit Day is a community event where businesses and residents of the city of Austin come together in support of local musicians, and SXSWfm is proud to be a part of that. Everyone involved in producing SXSWfm’s HAAM Benefit Day Showcase has donated time or money all in the name of a great cause, and every penny raised during this event will be donated directly to HAAM.

More details to be announced soon. For more information, please visit our HAAM Benefit Day event page and the HAAM website. To make an online donation, please click here.
