Volunteer Registration for SXSW and SXSW EDU 2023

Who Can Volunteer?

Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age, or older*. No special experience is necessary and there is a volunteer role for everyone!

How Do I Sign Up to Volunteer?

Registration, crew, and schedule selections begin January 9, 2023 for SXSW and SXSW EDU 2023. All volunteers should create an online volunteer account and then login to complete their registration. If you've already created an account in the past, please login with your email address or click "forgot password" to reconnect your account.

There are two ways to sign up to volunteer once you've created your account:

Online - Once registered, continue your online journey by selecting a volunteer type and crew, creating your schedule, and choosing your volunteer badge with a few clicks of the mouse!

Register Now

Volunteers under the age of 18 years of age will need a parent or legal guardian’s permission to sign up. Minor volunteers will need to email volunteer@sxsw.com to arrange signature of SXSW Minor Waiver by a guardian.

    Covid-19 Volunteer Guidelines

     

    During in-person events, SXSW expects that all participants follow public health authority and CDC guidelines related to safety, hygiene, and their identified measures to prevent disease. We will continue to work with local authorities to plan for a safe event.
