Where the SXSW Film & TV Festival and Exhibitions meet, the SXSW XR Experience will once again bring the Austin experience into the virtual world!

The XR Experience Exhibition is supported by Xn Quebec.

Virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality technologies are finding new ways to enhance our ability to perceive the world that surrounds us and are redefining how we experience artistic expression. The projects presented in our XR Experience emphasize storytelling and art in the immersive world.

Open to all badgeholders, located at the Fairmont Hotel (101 Red River St, Austin, TX 78701) in the Congressional Ballroom. The Fairmont is located next to the Austin Convention Center with a convenient walkway between the two spaces.

What is XR World?

XR World is a VRChat world that can be experienced on PC, PCVR, and Oculus Quest headsets. Users can experience SXSW like they’ve never seen before with iconic Austin venues recreated to float in space.

The SXSW XR Experience World in VRChat features a melded Congress Avenue and Red River Cultural District with new and unique features. This fun, interactive space offers attendees the opportunity to explore and connect with one another from across the globe.
