The Austin Convention Center (500 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701) in Exhibit Hall 1 is the main registration location to pick up all SXSW Badges.
Use this handy Walking Map with distances and times listed from downtown venues to the closest Austin Convention Center entrance. For directions directly to Registration or from locations not featured on this map, set “SXSW Registration” as your destination in Google Maps to find the best route.
To pick up your SXSW 2022 Badge, you must present a government-issued ID and provide proof of a completed primary vaccination series against Covid-19 or a recent negative Covid-19 test in order to pick up your SXSW 2022 Badge. To expedite the badge pickup process, upload your photo to your SXSW Social account ahead of time.

COVID-19 Testing Centers & Mask Requirements
Located in Exhibit Hall 2 at the Austin Convention Center, the SXSW Testing Center will provide no out-of-pocket cost COVID-19 testing supplied by Nomi Health to any participant of SXSW and SXSW EDU, March 6-19. Testing is available for ALL SXSW participants, both credentialed and non-credentialed.
In addition to the main testing site, pop-up locations will be available at the Wellness Expo at Palmer Events Center, March 10-14, and the Outdoor Stage at Lady Bird Lake at 900 W Riverside Drive, March 13-19.

Masks will be required in all conference session rooms, exhibitions, registration, and pre-function areas, and as determined by individual venues and client spaces. Masks are strongly encouraged indoors in all other areas and where social distancing cannot be maintained.
