Rachel Zoe and Hillary Kerr Discuss Adaptability in Fashion’s Changing Landscape at SXSW 2018 [Video]

Rachel Zoe is an American fashion designer, author, and TV personality. For nearly two decades, Zoe has brought glamour to the red carpet and adapted her business to the shifting fashion landscape.

In this 2018 SXSW Featured Session with co-founder of Who What Wear's Hillary Kerr, she will discuss the evolving needs of the consumer, how her brand is responding, and how she has seamlessly blended her commerce with her content.

"What is the most glamorous you could ever look or feel in your life? Can I create the moment with you and when I started doing that, it was the most rewarding thing in my life." - Rachel Zoe

Zoe is considered a pioneer in celebrity styling, a career that wasn't as desirable as it is now. She worked her way up in a magazine, but soon realized she wanted more. Tommy Hilfiger gave Zoe her first big break on an ad campaign, which coincidentally took place in Austin. "It was the scariest moment in my career, but it was at that point after I did it, I fell so in love with what I was doing and I loved the idea of working with people," said Zoe.

The vast majority of Zoe's career predated the intensity of social media. "I can't imagine life or business without social media at this point. What love about social media is how much we can use our voices in the best way," said Zoe.

"I think about how different my career would have been if there was social media [before]."
