Jump-Start Your Indie Game In Austin in March: First-Ever SXSW Gamer's Voice Award

Enter your indy project for the 2014 SXSW Gamer's Voice Award

So gaming fans, did you pick up your PS4 or are you waiting another week to grab an Xbox One?  Maybe you are lucky enough to be getting both? In any case, one of the coolest parts of getting a new console is discovering the new indie titles that can be found on the Playstation Network, or Xbox Live.  If you are anything like me, you get excited about these games almost as much as the latest games from the big studios and publishers.

I am thoroughly enjoying the indie game titles Housemarque's "Resogun," thatgamecompany's hit game, "Flower," and "Contrast" from Compulsion Games. These titles provide prime examples of the ingenuity and creativity of independent game developers. Their games represent the culmination of many months of hard work from their developers, and allow the chance to share the spotlight with the launch of the newest game consoles.

Speaking of a bright spotlight, SXSW Gaming is providing you a opportunity to add your names to the annals of indie game developer history.  Enter your game for the SXSW Gamer’s Voice Award, and get exposure, potential fans, and be part of the launch of a brand new event. You may find yourself on the receiving end of the very first SXSW Gamer’s Voice Award, presented at the SXSW Gaming Awards on Saturday, March 8.

The deadline to enter your game is Friday, December 13 at 11:59 p.m. CST. To enter your project for the SXSW Gamer’s Voice Award, and to learn more about the rules and regulations, please visit the Official SXSW Gamer’s Voice Award page.
