"There has been more change in the last 100 years than the last billion years!" That's the one line that sticks out the most in "Technology, Imagination & Exponential Thinking," the presentation from Jason SIlva at the 2013 SXSW Interactive Festival.
During this fascinating presentation, Silva runs through a brief history of how technology has evolved, and links that to how humans currently live within our modern technology. With so many areas growing at a faster than an exponential rate, it's almost difficult to conceive of where technology will be in our not too distant future. So what should we do with all this forward thinking? If Silva had his way, he'd make sure that we harness all that thinking and invention for humanity. Silva's belief that inspiration compels people to pay things forward is a very optimistic view for sure, but I think I want to live in that world.

So what else can I say about Jason Silva? First of all, this guy's got enough energy to power a small village. And that energy and excitement is contagious! It's no wonder he's the host of National Geographic Channel's "Brain Games", I can't think of a more perfect person to get people excited about science and technology. If you don't want to wait until new episodes of Brain Games start airing, then check out his Vimeo page for some original and inspiring content.
