We all know that one person that’s pretty much lived out our dreams, and we wonder how he or she’s able to do it all, right? Well, after watching Tina Roth Eisenberg’s 2013 keynote, I think I’ve found another person. Popular Swiss Miss blog, check. Founder of super cool Studiomates co-working space, check. Starter of the very popular and inspiring free morning lecture series, check. Creator of ubër cool Tattly, check. Happily married and mother of two, check. I could probably keep going, but I think you get the point.
I’m not even mad or jealous because Ms. Eisenberg handles all her success with grace, humility, and sheer joy, and it’s through her own hard work that she’s been able to create her chosen life. Through her presentation, Eisenberg reviews the 11 rules she chooses to live by, and while I don’t want to ruin it for all of you that plan on watching the video, I will just highlight my favorite. Point 3: Don’t complain, just make things better. While I think most of the rules on her list are hard to live by, this one stood out the most, probably because we’re all guilty of doing it. It’s easier to just complain and see if someone else does something about it. Even more striking about this rule, it’s empowering. It gives us as individuals ownership to change what we don’t like. Such a great point, so hard to remember at times. Just wait until you see the other 10 points!
