SXSW PanelPicker

The entry process for the 2014 SXSW PanelPicker launches in less than 96 hours. Over the last few weeks, we have provided various tips on what makes for a successful proposal. These tips emphasize the importance of a good video, a straight-forward title, depth over width, less is more, proofreading and diversity.

But perhaps the most important tip of all when thinking about SXSW is the i-word. Yes, innovation is the heart of everything we do at SXSW, so your PanelPicker proposal will have the most success if it adheres to this concept. In other words, your proposal should be an innovative approach to a traditional topic. Or a non-traditional approach to a very innovative topic. Either way, please steer clear of ideas that have already been covered time and time again. Remember that registrants come to SXSW to get a sneak preview of what the rest of the world will be talking and thinking about in two years.

For more information on the SXSW PanelPicker, please read the FAQ. Entry process for 2014 begins on Monday, July 1 and closes at the end of the day on Friday, July 26.
