SXSWfm, the Official Online Radio Channel of SXSW, is the source for discovering music by the many great artists that have played SXSW throughout its history. The number of bands accepted to perform at SXSW each year can be incredibly overwhelming. SXSWfm is here to guide you through SXSW’s rich history of performers as well as introduce you to 2014 artists when they’re announced later this fall.
In addition to new music discovery, tune in to SXSWfm to hear stories and insights about many of these great showcasing artists, past and present. Check out our weekly specialty shows for even more in-depth insights into the music and artists of SXSW. Each show currently focuses on a specific genre, including indie, hip-hop, Americana, and EDM, and we have plans to add more specialty shows throughout the 2014 season. For now, check out our specialty show pages for more info including air times, host descriptions, and show playlists.
SXSWfm isn’t just a radio channel, either. Check out the SXSWfm Blog for daily posts about SXSW artists, album reviews, weekly music adds, insights into the history of SXSW, and more!
You can check our programming schedule for air times and you can easily save it to your own Google Calendar by clicking the button in the bottom right corner of the calendar. If you there’s an artist that you’d like to hear or you want to make a general suggestion, please let us know here. Austinites can visit our Local Events page to see which former SXSW Showcasing Artists have upcoming shows here in town. Please subscribe to the SXSWfm Newsletter to receive giveaways and updates on what we’re up to here at SXSW HQ.
