SXSW Alumni Artists and Speakers Nominated for GRAMMY Awards

Congratulations to the former SXSW Music Speakers and Showcasing Artists who secured GRAMMY nominations last week! The nominees for the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards were named last Friday, December 6th, and there is an abundance of SXSW Music alumni throughout the list.

Of the SXSW Artist alumni nominees, Jay Z racked up a total of nine nominations, while Kendrick Lamar, Justin Timberlake, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis earned seven nominations each. Mastering engineer and past SXSW speaker Bob Ludwig received five nominations, including three for his work on Daft Punk’s newest album, Random Access Memories.
