Here's a quick interview with 2013 Music panelist __Scott Perry__, __founder of Sperry Media__, on reflections of past SXSW Festivals and what to look forward to this year. Be sure to check out his panel, _From 140 to 0: The Rise in Image-Based Marketing_, this March! ---------- __Number of times you've attended SXSW?__ <br>20+ (used to drive over from New Orleans during college) __What are you most looking forward to at SXSW this year?__ <br>The bands, the camaraderie with friends old and new and the barbecue. __What's the best thing you've heard (or overheard) at SXSW?__ <br>"Wake up, my parents are coming in from San Antonio for brunch!" __Briefly, what is your panel about, and why should we go to your panel?__ <br>Our panel is about how artists and promoters are using images across multiple platforms to build interest and revenue. People should come because the panelists are so awesome and the topic is so timely. __What's the most important issue in music today?__ <br>Leveraging social to maximize revenue across all possible channels. __What was your first job in the music industry?__ <br>I was paid to hang show posters around town while interning at the Top 40 radio station during high school, followed by a stint as a college rep for Sony– all three gigs sowed the seeds for incredible connections even two decades later. __Any tips for first-time attendees?__ <br>Wear comfortable shoes, be open to meeting new friends at every possible moment and always have a Plan B if you can't get into the show/panel.
