To get ready for Austin Pride, we're taking a look back at the LGBTQ+ artists, filmmakers, and speakers who joined us in Austin last March including Kara Swisher, King Princess, PJ Raval, Laura Jane Grace, and more.
Kara Swisher, Recode editor-at-large and New York Times contributing opinion writer, interviewed comedian Kathy Griffin during their Convergence Keynote as well as Senator Amy Klobuchar in the Conversations About America’s Future series.
Swisher is also the 2017 SXSW Interactive Hall of Fame Honoree.
Driven by her identity as a radical, indigenous, queer, feminist, Black Belt Eagle Scout – aka Katherine Paul – is heavily influenced by her hometown in Northern Washington and her connection to the landscape and it's eerie beauty on first album Mother of My Children.
Claud, formerly known as Toast, started out by making their debut EP in their dorm room and has since toured with The María’s, Clairo, Triathalon, and more. Recent singles include songs like "Wish You Were Gay."
