Silicon Valley: Making the World a Better Place at SXSW 2016

“The tech world is so absurd that sometimes we find ourselves actually [saying] ‘If you put that in the show nobody would believe it’ [but] you do it as is and it’s pretty ridiculous. The tech world has made it very easy for us in a lot of ways." – Mike Judge on satirizing tech culture on the HBO series Silicon Valley

Watch Silicon Valley cast members Thomas Middleditch, Zach Woods, Martin Starr and Josh Brener, joined by executive producers Mike Judge and Alec Berg, during their SXSW 2016 panel "Silicon Valley: Making the World a Better Place" moderated by writer and filmmaker Steven Leckart.

HBO’s Emmy-winning and Golden Globe-nominated comedy series Silicon Valley has been lauded for its hilariously spot-on depiction of tech culture by audiences and critics alike. Cast and producers go behind the series diving into the writing process, improv balance, the show's satirical angle on the absurdities of the tech world, and feedback from the tech community itself.

Silicon Valley made its world premiere at the 2014 SXSW Film Festival and went on to win the 2014 Episodic Audience Award. Season 3 will premiere on Sunday, April 24.
