The SXSW XR Experience is an exhibition that showcases outstanding immersive projects by an array of talented international producers.

Virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality technologies are finding new ways to enhance our ability to perceive and experience the world around us. The projects presented in our XR Experience emphasize narratives and art in the immersive world.

The XR Experience is open to all SXSW Badges from March 13-15, 2022 from 11am - 6pm at the Fairmont in the Congressional Ballroom.

Formally known as Virtual Cinema, SXSW XR Experience showcases outstanding VR + AR + MR creations and innovative technological advances from independent up-and-comers and creative heavy hitters from around the world with the goal of widening the scope of storytelling.
