2017 Official Showcase
Modern Composers is a unique offering in this year’s festival. The line-up includes ambient electronics and ranges all the way into modern classical composition, with many artists on the showcase offering both. St. David’s Historic Church and Bethel Hall have awe-inspiring acoustics that will be the perfect compliment to these artists. The event features emerging talents sharing the bill with legends of the style.
The Historic Church lineup includes iconic synth guru Suzanne Ciani, elegent modern European composer/producers Sven Helbig, Martin Kohlstedt, and Federico Albanese, and a live mixup of ambient styles and live piano from Jean-Michel Blais & CFCF.
In Bethel Hall the lineup includes wall-of-sound piano psych from Dardust, Minimal techno-leanings performed by Ryan Vail, entrancing orchestral movements by Chad Lawson, and shimmering synth compositions from Curved Light.
